Grumpy Grumpy Grumpy

Keep trying to think of something to write about but I'm grumpy!  I've been grumpy for a while, like weeks.  Feeling a little anti-social, which is likely best because everyone lately seems to piss me off.  I think  sometimes it comes down to how annoyed I am by living here.  I would so love to be living in BC near the rest of my family but it's not financially plausible at the moment and I don't see any time in the immediate future when it would be unless I won some sort of lottery of big bucks.

When I'm down in the dumps, I eat and eat and eat and eat.  I weighed in this past Monday with the intention of jumping into tracking my points and I was 219.0.  I'd like to say I don't know how that happened but that would be bullshit.

The one extremely pleasant break in the madness has been the weather.  All of a sudden, winter in Winnipeg seems to be over.  I secretly think it will come back for another couple of months as is a normal winter here.  We have pretty much no snow left and the high tomorrow is 28.  If you are not running for cover and expressing shock and cursing global warming then let me tell you that the last 6 years or so have ranged in temperature from -5 to +3 for the same day.  28!!!!  I've gone for a few walks which has worked wonders at least temporarily.  So the idea for the next week . . . more walks.  The weather is supposed to stay higher than normal, not 28, but higher than normal still.  Phew!!  This week, I'm going to walk home from work a few times.  It's about 7km and it takes me just over an hour.  Now that sidewalks are clear of ice and mostly puddle free, it's time!!!  I might even venture to the Y.  If I'm going to be anti-social, I should at least be anti-social at the gym!  There are tv's on the gym equipment so I could time it so that I can pass the time watching my shows and working out.

On to my shows!  Loving the Amazing Race, except Brendan and Rachel of course.  They need to go ASAP.  I hope they make some crazy mistake and get eliminated.  Survivor took a turn for the better once the teams got mixed up.  Colton is out of control.  He can go too.  The Bachelor, thank goodness that mess is over.  I can't decide if they are faking or what but real or not, I don't think they stand a chance of lasting.  And yes, because I am a glutton for punishment, I will watch Emily as the Bachelorette, hahaha!

From my great walk at the Forks on Friday.  We walked on the riverwalk which is usually under water due to flooding until about July.  Not sure if there will be flooding this year since we didn't get much snow and it's pretty much melted.  This is why I"m suspicious of a second bout of winter.  I'm scared we're not done yet.

Well, that's it for now.  I feel better actually just having a post even if it is blah.  Hoping for a better week!!!!  My project for tomorrow is cleaning out my porch.  I have a three-season porch on the front of my condo and it kind of turns into a storage room in the winter.  I really like sitting out there on weekend mornings with my coffee and a book.  I need to bring it back so I can take advantage of it for even longer this year.  :)

  1. I had no idea you were also a Winnipegger! I know how you feel- on my way down Bishop all I see is brown, dead everything. I went for the first run of the season yesterday, it was great!

  2. 28?!! Holy crapola! That is summer HOT for March! Ahh...Bachelor...I think Ben screwed that one up big time! And I'll be watching Emily too!

    I need to go to the place known as the gym too. I bought a yr pass and have only gone 2mths so far, and wasted 5mths :-( I realized that I'm not a huge gym fan! Ugh...must go...

    I agree with the consecutive tracking- if I don't track at all even if not within my points, it gets outta control! Thanks for letting me copy you :-) Day 1= tomorrow!

    1. Yay! We can start tracking on the same day!! I need to make it into the gym at least twice this week -- just to get back into it. I've never regretted going but I do regret not going.

    2. I need to excercise too- I hate going to the gym on my cooking days, but I have lots of video's, a bike, the gazelle and a very new, unused rebounder at home so no excuses! My goals is a minimus 3 workouts this week!
