Q*Bert! |
In light of my recent meltdown or ongoing meltdown, whatever, I've decided to try to take really good care of myself. I'm making a list of things that make me feel good. Here's what I have so far:
A clean condo. I LOVE my condo. LOVE IT. So when it's clean and everything is in its place, it feels so wonderful. On the other hand, a messy condo makes me more like a shut-in. However, I am not a domestic goddess so this doesn't just come naturally.
Eating better. Haha - isn't that what this blog was originally supposed to be about?? But really, when I eat better, I feel better.
Exercise. Like above, I'm betting exercise will make me feel even better. You know, endorphins and all.
Less facebook. Sounds stupid I know. But facebook makes me feel like sh*t these days so I'm just going to stay off of it for a while. I'll tweet instead :) And if I'm loving my facebook free week, I'm going to delete it.
Sleep. This should actually be number one. I need to get to bed earlier. Last night I made sure to be in bed early and I actually woke up before my alarm and had a pleasant morning NOT running around like a crazy person.
Saying no. I need to say no when I want to say no. And stop saying yes when I desperately want to say no.
So my questions to you fabulous folks . . . what makes you feel good or happy or whatever? And got any twitter tips? Wanna follow me? Want me to follow you? Let me know!!
And ps -- thanks for the support. Really truly really truly.
pps -- I just watched the most disgusting Survivor challenge I've ever seen.
It's been awhile Jackie since I've stopped by. I'm sorry about that. Just life excuses.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you work at a place that helps you with lifes issues. I don't do facebook very often either, just to check on my nephew and cousin. I have become more of a homebody then I use to be. Oh still out and about lots but prefer home.
Keep up the good work on your life style journey. You are doing awesome.
Take care and have a blessed evening.
Saying no is HUGE. If you're a consummate yes-er (like I tend to be: I blame it on the people-pleaser in me), being able to reclaim time for yourself by saying no will make such a difference.
ReplyDeleteIf you have any questions about twitter, let me know! :)
Sounds like a great list. We are a lot alike! I love my house~when it's clean, but it's a bitch to keep clean!!Arg...
ReplyDeleteSaying no is a biggie around here too. Once you start though, things get much better!
I just started twitter not long ago too, and don't know the slang either! Haha! I'll find you..you follow me too? I'm kinda borring..when I remember to update ;) I did the no facebook thing for a little bit as well. Stupid thing is addictive though! Good luck!
Oh! I have tried the Shiritaki noodle things. Beware they stink. Give them a really good rinse, when cooked the smell leaves...promise. I don't mind them (super pt friendly). Let me know what you think ok?
P.S. I was suffering a blog identity crisis. I have yet a new one. Last time promise. I'm happy now. Join me over there okay :)

I love this one: "Saying no. I need to say no when I want to say no. And stop saying yes when I desperately want to say no." I need to do that too. I can't even tell you how many times in my head I know that I need to say "no" but then not even thinking I go ahead and do it. BAD bad bad habit. I need to work on that one for sure.
